A closer look at your kHYPE, its yield, and spending power.

Overflow guideTransactions

Transactions

Before your wallet opens, Overflow checks the transaction against live chain state:

  • your wallet is on Elysium and holds HYPE for the network fee;
  • the amount is above zero and within your wallet balance, position, outstanding balance or spending power;
  • deposits or spending are open, and a payment recipient is a valid wallet rather than an Overflow or token contract;
  • whether a token approval is needed first;
  • the exact call succeeds in a simulation against the current block.

Gas buffering

Overflow estimates gas for every approval, deposit, withdrawal, exit, payment and repayment, then sends an explicit limit with a 30% safety buffer (at least 25,000 gas). You only pay for gas actually used.

Transaction preview

Before you confirm, Overflow shows what will change: your wallet balance, position or outstanding balance now and after, and your spending power after it when spending is open. The values come from the same accounting the contracts use; nothing is shown as done until the transaction is confirmed onchain.

Network fee estimate

The preview shows the node’s gas estimate for the exact call multiplied by Elysium’s current gas price, paid in HYPE. When an approval is needed first, the approval is estimated and the deposit or repayment is estimated once approved. If an estimate is not possible, no number is shown and your wallet displays the fee.

Withdrawal liquidity

The adapter holds every deposited kHYPE itself, so withdrawals do not depend on a lending market. The Protocol page shows how much kHYPE it holds and whether the relayed rate is current enough for withdrawals. If it is not, you can still exit.

Position impact

Before a withdrawal, the preview shows principal, position value, projected 90-day yield and spending power, now and afterwards. Before a payment, it shows spending power, outstanding and Reserve usage (outstanding ÷ (outstanding + liquidity)) before and after.

kHYPE approvals

Overflow requests exact approvals: a deposit approves OverflowVault for that amount only, and a repayment approves OverflowEngine for that amount only, resetting to zero first if a different allowance exists. Overflow never asks for an unlimited approval. The Protocol page lists your current kHYPE allowance to each Overflow contract and lets you revoke it with a transaction you confirm in your wallet.

Activity details

Every entry on the Activity page shows the action, amount, time, wallet, recipient for payments, the Overflow contract that emitted the event, the block, the transaction status and network fee, and the transaction hash with an explorer link. Everything comes from Elysium events and receipts.

Common wallet and contract errors are shown as short messages, such as “Insufficient kHYPE balance”, “Insufficient spending power”, “The kHYPE rate needs a fresh update” or “Switch to Elysium”. These checks add to the contracts’ own requirements; they never replace them.
